Sherrod Brown
As a U.S. senator (through January 2025), Sherrod Brown (D) consistently supported U.S. military aid and arms sales to Israel. On April 23, 2024 he voted Yea on the motion to concur in the national security supplemental (H.R. 815, roll call 154), which included military aid for Israel and Ukraine and humanitarian aid for Gaza. On November 20, 2024 he voted Nay on all three Sanders-led resolutions (S.J.Res. 111, 113, and 115) that sought to block specific U.S. arms sales to Israel; all three failed. Brown lost his 2024 reelection to Bernie Moreno, left the Senate in January 2025, and is the 2026 Democratic nominee for the Ohio Senate seat vacated by JD Vance (May 5, 2026 primary); Jewish Insider described him as a 'pro-Israel progressive.' He did not participate in the April 2025 or July 2025 arms-sale votes, which occurred after he left office.
