Gregory Lee Levy

Independent · U.S. Senate, Ohio

Levy’s campaign platform calls for "cutting all aid to the racist, genocidal state of Israel". He launched his socialist independent campaign in Cleveland in February 2026 on a platform ending U.S. military aid and arms shipments.

Levy is running as an independent aligned with the Party for Socialism and Liberation in the 2026 Ohio U.S. Senate special election, and he is the most explicit candidate in this group. His campaign platform calls for "cutting all aid to the racist, genocidal state of Israel", and campaign materials since the February 21, 2026 launch in Cleveland have carried an anti-war platform advocating an immediate end to all U.S. military aid and arms shipments to Israel.

His characterization uses the same words as his policy. He describes Israel as a "racist, genocidal state" and its military actions in Gaza as a genocide in Palestine. There is no gap between the two: he wants the aid ended because of the conduct he describes, which is unusual in this group and leaves no room for a card to imply a position he has not taken.

He frames it as a critique of both major parties, arguing they continue to fund military operations abroad rather than invest at home. Cincinnati Magazine covered the campaign in May 2026.
