Hopkins is running as an independent in Oklahoma's 2nd District, his second run for the seat after 2024.

His campaign site's About page lists what he supports in single lines, and one of them is "I support cutting foreign aid." It names no country and no program and does not say whether military assistance is meant, so it is not a position on what the United States sends the government of Israel; the Tahlequah Daily Press printed the same list when he filed in May 2024. The rest of the site is his plan to turn Social Security into a personal trust fund. In 2024 iVoterGuide, a conservative Christian voter guide, sent him its questionnaire; his profile records "Did not answer" against every question, the one on the U.S. relationship with Israel among them, which says he did not complete the form and nothing about his views on it. His 2026 profile there carries no questionnaire.
