Wade told a voter in July 2026 that the United States should not fund the government of Israel "by money or weapons", calling its conduct "wrong and a genocide." Asked about Israel in a 2024 voter guide, he wrote that support for a country should stop until its actions change.

Wade is the Democratic nominee in Oklahoma's 2nd District, a union leader from Bartlesville who spent 26 years with Operating Engineers Local 351. He ran for this seat in 2024 and took 21.4 percent; he won the June 2026 primary and faces the incumbent again in November.

A voter wrote to his campaign asking where he stands, and his reply of July 5, 2026 is published on this site: "I agree with you on what Israel is doing is wrong and a genocide. I believe we shouldn’t be funding them and their actions, by money or weapons." He went on: "I also believe we need to stop sending funds to many countries until we have took care of our own people in this country." It is the only statement from him on U.S. weapons and money for the government of Israel located at any date, and he made it in answer to a direct question.

The direction is not new. In the questionnaire iVoterGuide, a conservative Christian voter guide, published for the November 2024 election, he was asked whether the United States' relationship with Israel is important and why, and answered: "I believe our relationship with many countries is important. I also believe if we are aiding a country with any support we should have a say in the way they handle the situation. If we don’t agree then the support needs to stop until their actions change." On the same form he declined to pick one of four descriptions of American foreign policy, writing that selective help for countries growing democracy and the view that the United States is too involved abroad are, to him, "intertwined". He did not choose the option of staying out of foreign conflicts completely.

His campaign site, read on September 4, 2026, does not mention Israel, Gaza, Palestinians or foreign aid on any of its pages; the closest it comes is a plan to cut $100 billion a year from Pentagon spending and move it to domestic programs.
