But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check
Robin Richards
Other · U.S. Senate, Nebraska

How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
No recorded votes on the bills we track. We found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
Nothing located as of October 2026 has Richards taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. She told Nebraska Public Media her priorities include education, disability services, child tax credits and Social Security.

Robin Richards is the Nebraska Working People Party's nominee for the U.S. Senate. She created and chairs the party, one of two formed by petition this year, and the Nebraska Supreme Court rejected a challenge to its place on the ballot. She has served on the Ralston school board since 2019 and works as business manager for the Nebraska Arts Council. She was runner-up for Legislative District 12 in 2022 and ran there as a write-in in May 2026. She faces Senator Pete Ricketts, the Republican, Dan Osborn, an independent, and Chuck Conboy of the America First Party; Mike Marvin of the Legal Marijuana Now Party has left the race but remains on the ballot. She has never held federal office, so there are no Senate votes on this record.
This is an empty record on these questions rather than a thin one. In Nebraska Public Media's Senate guide in September 2026 she spoke about giving voters more options, education, disability services for children in rural areas, child tax credits and keeping Social Security solvent; nothing she said concerned foreign policy. She did not respond to requests for comment from the Nebraska Examiner, she did not answer any of iVoterGuide's 2026 questions, and she has not filled in Ballotpedia's 2026 questionnaire. No campaign website for this race could be read. An empty record carries no implication either way.
You are better placed to change this than we are. Ask Richards directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in her own words, which is worth more than anything we could write about her.
Research log
The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.
Our research for this card began with a search run on 2026-09-28, and every page below was opened and read on 2026-10-01 unless the entry says otherwise. No campaign website for her Senate race could be read: her 2022 campaign address returns 404, and the party site that iVoterGuide lists as her website shows only its title. Richards has never held federal office, so none of the Senate votes this site tracks is hers, and no funding from the committees this site tracks is recorded on this record. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated. Nothing located on this subject falls in the reaction window.

[Earlier record, 2022] Her iVoterGuide profile for the 2022 race for Legislative District 12 shows "Did not answer" beside a statement supporting the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel. She answered some questions on that form and left seventeen unanswered, so the blank is not read as a position either way. Under National Security she wrote: "Terrorism of all kinds is an issue and I would work to eradicate all of it."
Safety and antisemitism (context, not an answer to what America sends)

What the campaign site and own pages say
[Position, 2026-09-23] Nebraska Public Media's Senate voter guide, by Noelle Annonen, interviewed her. She said: "I don’t feel like, if we stick to two parties, that we’re ever going to be able to find some middle ground to work in again," and, on how she differs from Senator Ricketts: "I want it to be the social services we all need. I want it to be the healthcare that should be serving us. I want it to be education that works for every student." The guide reports that she supports child tax credits, wants disability services expanded for children in rural areas, and wants Social Security kept solvent. It reports that she created and chairs the Nebraska Working People Party. Nothing in her section concerns foreign policy; the guide's one mention of Israel is in Dan Osborn's section.
[Position, 2026-09-01] The Nebraska Examiner, by Zach Wendling, reported her filing for the Senate and said she "did not respond to multiple requests for comment".
[Read 2026-10-01] Her 2026 iVoterGuide profile lists her education and work history; all thirty-two questions read "Did not answer". Because she answered nothing on that form, on any subject, this is a fact about the guide's coverage and not about her views.
[Read 2026-10-01] Her Ballotpedia page records that she has not completed Ballotpedia's 2026 Candidate Connection survey for either race. Her 2022 answers there concern her school board work and state issues and do not mention foreign policy.
[Read 2026-10-01] Her Ballotpedia page lists the general election for U.S. Senate in Nebraska on November 3, 2026: Pete Ricketts (R), Chuck Conboy (America First Party Nebraska), Mike Marvin (Legal Marijuana Now Party), Robin Richards (Nebraska Working People Party) and Dan Osborn (Nonpartisan). Nebraska Public Media reports that Marvin has dropped out but remains on the ballot.

The Nebraska Working People Party's site, https://workingpeopleparty.com/ , which iVoterGuide lists as her website. It shows only its title.
Her 2022 campaign site, https://www.richards4ne.com/ , which returns 404.
Her social media accounts from 2022, listed by iVoterGuide: https://www.facebook.com/RR4NE/ , https://twitter.com/RRichards4NE and https://www.instagram.com/richards4ne/ . None was read for this card.
Not on the card, and why
The 2022 iVoterGuide blank on the boycott statement: a skipped question is not a position, and it is from before October 2023.
Her 2022 terrorism answer: it names no country and is from 2022.
Her positions on education, disability services, child tax credits and Social Security: out of scope. Listed above so the absence is checkable.
Pete Ricketts's, Dan Osborn's, Chuck Conboy's and Mike Marvin's records belong on their own cards.
