But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check
Chuck Conboy

How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
No recorded votes on the bills we track. We found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
Nothing located as of October 2026 has Conboy taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. His campaign platform promises “No more blank checks to foreign governments” and names no country.

Chuck Conboy is the America First Party's nominee for the U.S. Senate in Nebraska. The party is one of two created by petition this year. He is an Omaha native, 73, who worked for 28 years at Baker's supermarkets, served as president of a grocery workers' union local, and spent about three decades selling flooring. He faces Senator Pete Ricketts, the Republican, Dan Osborn, an independent, and Robin Richards of the Nebraska Working People Party; Mike Marvin of the Legal Marijuana Now Party has left the race but remains on the ballot. Conboy has never held federal office, so there are no Senate votes on this record.
His campaign platform has three planks: sealing the border, fixing Social Security, and one headed "America First". That plank quotes him: “America's strength begins at home. No more endless foreign wars. No more blank checks to foreign governments. Nebraska families come first.” It names no country, and nothing else on his site mentions Israel, Gaza or Palestinians. He did not answer any of iVoterGuide's questions, including one on the relationship with Israel, and has not filled in Ballotpedia's questionnaire. What he told reporters about the war with Iran is on his research page. An empty record carries no implication either way.
You are better placed to change this than we are. Ask Conboy directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in his own words, which is worth more than anything we could write about him.
Research log
The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.
Our research for this card began with a search run on 2026-09-28, and every page below was opened and read on 2026-10-01 unless the entry says otherwise. His campaign site was read in full: its home, Platform, About and News pages; the About page says its content is "coming soon". The platform page carries no date, so it is recorded on the date we read it and banded as a position. Conboy has never held federal office, so none of the Senate votes this site tracks is his, and no funding from the committees this site tracks is recorded on this record. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated. Nothing located on this subject falls in any band.
U.S. military aid and weapons to the government of Israel
Nothing located, at any date.
[Position; read 2026-10-01] His campaign platform, the plank headed "America First" and subheaded "Put Nebraska Families Before Foreign Governments", quotes him: "America's strength begins at home. No more endless foreign wars. No more blank checks to foreign governments. Nebraska families come first." Its four points are "No more endless foreign wars that drain American blood and treasure", "No more blank checks to foreign governments at the expense of Americans", "Peace through strength — but only when American interests are directly at stake" and "Rebuild America before rebuilding the rest of the world". It names no country.
U.S. aid to Palestinians
Nothing located, at any date.
Characterization of the conflict
Nothing located, at any date.
Israel-related rhetoric and lobbying

Safety and antisemitism (context, not an answer to what America sends)

What the campaign site and own pages say
[Position, 2026-09-23] Nebraska Public Media's Senate voter guide, by Noelle Annonen, reports that he is building his candidacy on more affordable health care and child care, and that he "opposes the U.S.’s involvement in the conflict in Iran, arguing that that money going into that conflict should stay in the country", while saying he is not an isolationist. That is the outlet's summary, not his words. It is about the war with Iran.
[Position, 2026-09-16] The Plains Sentinel, in an interview by Matt Johnson that his campaign site links, reports that he disagrees with some of President Trump's current positions, including the current conflict with Iran, which he described as “going off the rails a little bit.” It covers his background, his reasons for running, immigration, student loans and Social Security, and does not mention Israel.
[Position, 2026-09-01] KLIN reported the America First Party's 2026 ticket, with him as its Senate candidate, and said the party will focus on limiting government, reducing spending and debt, opposing new wars and transparency. That is the party's description of itself, not a statement by him.
[Read 2026-10-01] His iVoterGuide profile is rated "Insufficient Information", and all thirty-two questions read "Did not answer", including "Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?" Because he answered nothing on that form, on any subject, this is a fact about the guide's coverage and not about his views.
[Read 2026-10-01] His Ballotpedia page records that he has not completed Ballotpedia's 2026 Candidate Connection survey.
The race
[Read 2026-10-01] His Ballotpedia page: "Incumbent Pete Ricketts (R), Chuck Conboy (America First Party Nebraska), Mike Marvin (Legal Marijuana Now Party), Robin Richards (Nebraska Working People Party), and Dan Osborn (Nonpartisan) are running in the general election for U.S. Senate Nebraska on November 3, 2026." Nebraska Public Media reports that Marvin has dropped out, citing his health, and backs Osborn, but missed the deadline to remove his name from the ballot.
Places that could not be read, so nothing is claimed from them
None. No social media account of his was found; The Plains Sentinel reported in September that he had no website, and the campaign site above went up after that.
Not on the card, and why
His remarks on the war with Iran: not about U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, and reported rather than quoted at length. Recorded above.
The America First Party's description of its own priorities: the party's words, not his.
The iVoterGuide blanks: he answered no question on that form.
His border, Social Security, health care, child care, education and student loan positions: out of scope.
Our research cited this site's own page for another candidate in the race as a source. A page cannot be its own evidence, and nothing is drawn from it.
Pete Ricketts's, Dan Osborn's, Robin Richards's and Mike Marvin's records belong on their own cards.
