Pete Ricketts
Pete Ricketts (R-NE), appointed to the Senate in January 2023 and running for a full term in 2026, is a consistent supporter of unconditional U.S. military aid to the government of Israel and an opponent of conditioning or blocking that aid. As a member of the Foreign Relations Committee he voted against every Senate joint resolution of disapproval that would have blocked arms sales to Israel: S.J.Res. 113 on Nov. 20, 2024 (roll 293, Nay); S.J.Res. 33 and S.J.Res. 26 on Apr. 3, 2025 (rolls 165 and 166, both Nay); and S.J.Res. 41 and S.J.Res. 34 on Jul. 30, 2025 (rolls 454 and 455, both Nay). He publicly opposed putting conditions on aid to Israel, co-introduced 2024 legislation to require congressional oversight before any presidential pause of arms deliveries to Israel, and sponsored a bill to permanently end U.S. funding for UNRWA.
