But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check
Kathy Anderson

How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
No recorded votes on the bills we track. We found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

Kathy Anderson is a write-in candidate for governor of Florida. The Division of Elections lists her as qualified for the November 3, 2026 election, with Daniel Nokovich as her running mate; he ran in the Republican primary for governor and lost it on August 18. She lives in DeLand. The seat is open. Byron Donalds and David Jolly won the Republican and Democratic primaries, and the Division's listing for the office shows Scott Jewett of the Libertarian Party, five candidates with no party affiliation and one other write-in candidate, Erik Morris, also qualified.
This is an empty record rather than a thin one. No campaign website, social media account, interview or questionnaire answer of hers was located, on this subject or on any other. She has not completed Ballotpedia's candidate survey, which lists no campaign website or account for her, and iVoterGuide's page for this race does not list her. An empty record carries no implication either way, and a governor casts no federal votes on any of this.
You are better placed to change this than we are. Ask Anderson directly, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in her own words.
Research log
The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.
Our research for this card began with a search run on 2026-09-28, and every page below was opened and read on 2026-09-28. She has no campaign website that could be found, and no social media account in her name as a candidate was located, so the pages read are the official and independent listings of the race. She has never held federal office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks are hers, and a campaign for state office is not covered by the federal funding records this site tracks. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated.

What the campaign site and own pages say
No campaign website, campaign email address shown in public, or social media account for her candidacy was found. Ballotpedia lists none, and Politics1, which links the campaign sites of the other candidates in this race, links none for her. Searches for her name with the words governor, DeLand and write-in returned only candidate listings.
The race
[Read 2026-09-28] The Division of Elections' record for her lists Kathy Anderson for Governor as a write-in candidate, running mate Daniel Nokovich, of DeLand, filed on April 30, 2026 and qualified on June 10, 2026 as a write-in candidate. Its treasurer line names Kathleen G. Anderson at the same address. The record also carries a street address and a telephone number, which are not reproduced here.
[Read 2026-09-28] The Division's full listing for the office shows ten qualified candidates: Byron Donalds (Republican), David Jolly (Democrat), Scott Jewett (Libertarian Party of Florida), Dean Abrams, Charles Burkett, Jeffrey Datto, Moliere Dimanche and Frank Russo, each with no party affiliation, and two write-in candidates, Kathy Anderson and Erik Morris. The same listing records Daniel Nokovich as a Republican candidate for governor eliminated in the primary.
[Read 2026-09-28] Her Ballotpedia page: "Kathy Anderson (No Party Affiliation) is running for election for Governor of Florida. She is a write-in candidate in the general election on November 3, 2026." It records that there is no incumbent in the race and that she has not completed its 2026 Candidate Connection survey, and it lists no campaign website or social media account for her.
[Read 2026-09-28; page updated 2026-09-17] Politics1's Florida page, a candidate directory, lists "Kathy Anderson (WI) - Retiree" with "Daniel Nokovich (WI) - Program Manager, Republican & '26 Gov Candidate" as her running mate. It links no campaign site for her.
[Read 2026-09-28] iVoterGuide's page for this race lists nine candidates by name and party, with no profile or questionnaire for any of them. She is not among them.
[Read 2026-09-28; published 2026-09-07, updated 2026-09-22] Sparker's Soapbox's guide to the general election for governor names the major and minor candidates on the ballot and says only that write-in candidates also qualified. It gives no positions for her.
Places that could not be read, so nothing is claimed from them
The League of Women Voters guide at https://www.vote411.org/ is reached through an address lookup and was not read, so it is not known whether she answered it.
Daniel Nokovich's campaign address, https://www.nokovichforgovernor.com , returns a page saying the site has not been published, and the bare address carries only a slogan and a contact form. His Facebook page, Nokovich for Governor, does not mention her in what it serves to a reader who is not signed in. Neither is her own, and nothing from either is used.
Not on the card, and why
Politics1's description of her as a retiree: a third party's one-word description, recorded above.
Other people named Kathleen or Kathy Anderson whom searches returned, including a candidate in Utah and several physicians: different people, and nothing from them is used.
Byron Donalds's, David Jolly's, Daniel Nokovich's and the other candidates' records: they belong on their own cards.
