But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check

Moliere Dimanche

Other · Governor, Florida
?
How this mark works

We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

See a dash? Ask the candidate where they stand, then send us their answer and we'll review it and update the mark. Or volunteer to help review candidates.

Two reviewers, reading the public record as a whole, agree: In September 2026 Facebook posts he calls himself "the ONLY candidate for Governor who has said #FreePalestine" and says he "NEVER took money from any pro-Israel lobby", without saying where he stands on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. Reviewed by hand on 2026-10-09. This candidate has no recorded tracked floor votes.

Dimanche describes himself as the only candidate for governor who has said “#FreePalestine from the giddy-up!”, and says he never took money from any pro-Israel lobby, which concerns his own fundraising. Nothing located has him taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel.

Deep Dive

Moliere Dimanche, who campaigns as Moe, is a candidate for governor of Florida with no party affiliation, and the Division of Elections lists him as qualified for the November 3, 2026 ballot with Benjiman Rojas as his running mate. He is an Orlando native and the author of a book about his own imprisonment, and his campaign is built around ending what he calls public corruption in Florida's courts and government. The seat is open. Byron Donalds and David Jolly won the Republican and Democratic primaries on August 18, 2026, and the Division's listing for the office shows Scott Jewett of the Libertarian Party and four other candidates with no party affiliation also on the ballot.

What he has said on this subject is in two posts on his campaign's Facebook page in September 2026. The first, posted on September 19, reads: "So, the Jerusalem Post seems to think Florida will be a safe place for #AIPAC because both the democrat and the republican nominees are Pro-Israel!" and then: "Guess who NEVER took money from any pro-Israel lobby? Moe Dimanche." The American Israel Public Affairs Committee is a lobbying organization that works for close ties between the United States and Israel. The same post says of Florida's current governor: "The last pro-Israel Governor of Florida tried to make you put their flag on your license plate, and SKIP Americans at the DMV, of ALL places, to do it!" The next day, in a post that is mostly about the singers Ed Sheeran and Macklemore, he wrote: "Moe Dimanche is the ONLY candidate for Governor who has said #FreePalestine from the giddy-up!"

Beyond those two posts, nothing located has him taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, on U.S. aid to Palestinians, or on how the war in Gaza should be described. The 27 posts and 15 pages of his campaign site do not mention Israel, Gaza or Palestinians. A November 2025 post on it criticized Washington for providing "military aid to the tune of 21+ billion dollars" while Floridians waited for food assistance, without saying who received it. His answers to Ballotpedia's candidate survey in October 2024 are about public corruption and children. A refusal to take a lobby's money is a statement about his own campaign, not a position on what the United States sends, and a governor of Florida casts no federal votes on any of this. The rest of what was read is on his research page.

Research log

The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.

Our research for this card began with searches run on 2026-09-07 and 2026-09-28, and every page below was opened and read on 2026-09-28 unless the entry says otherwise. Facebook dates are given in Florida time. His campaign site was read in full through the site's own published index of posts and pages (27 posts from 2018 to August 2026, and 15 pages). Three posts on his campaign's Facebook page were read. He has never held federal office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks are his, and a campaign for state office is not covered by the federal funding records this site tracks. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated.

U.S. military aid and weapons to the government of Israel

  • Nothing located that names the government of Israel as the recipient of U.S. weapons or money, at any date.
  • [Position, 2025-11-06] A post on his campaign site headed "The Hungry November", about food assistance during the federal shutdown: "While they kept the lights on for IRS enforcement, expedited funding for border wall expansions, and provided military aid to the tune of 21+ billion dollars, Americans are going hungry." It does not say to whom the military aid went, and it is not read here as being about any particular country.

U.S. aid to Palestinians

  • Nothing located, at any date.

Characterization of the conflict

  • [Position, 2026-09-20] A video post on his campaign's Facebook page. Its caption opens with two sentences about Ed Sheeran, Robert Kraft and Macklemore and continues: "In any event, Moe Dimanche is the ONLY candidate for Governor who has said #FreePalestine from the giddy-up! Download deMOEcracy and VOTE Moe Dimanche!!" It uses the slogan and does not say what policy it stands for. The same address our research gave as a post (the address below ending 1456135286572632) opens this video.
  • No earlier use of the slogan by him was found. His campaign site, his Ballotpedia answers and the other posts read carry no reference to Palestinians. Our research reported that he routinely uses the hashtag and named a post of September 4, 2026 as one example; that post, read below, does not carry it.

Israel-related rhetoric and lobbying

  • [Position, 2026-09-19] A video post on his campaign's Facebook page, posted late on September 19, Florida time. Its caption in full: "🚨🚨🚨 So, the Jerusalem Post seems to think Florida will be a safe place for #AIPAC because both the democrat and the republican nominees are Pro-Israel!

Guess who NEVER took money from any pro-Israel lobby? Moe Dimanche.

The last pro-Israel Governor of Florida tried to make you put their flag on your license plate, and SKIP Americans at the DMV, of ALL places, to do it! Download deMOEcracy and VOTE MOE!" followed by hashtags including #byrondonalds. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee is a lobbying organization that works for close ties between the United States and Israel. The post is about who funds campaigns and about a state license plate; it takes no position on U.S. weapons or money. Our research described it as criticizing rival candidates and Florida political figures for taking support from such groups and arguing that this puts foreign interests ahead of Floridians; the post does not say that, and the card uses only its own words.

Safety and antisemitism (context, not an answer to what America sends)

  • Nothing located, at any date.

What the campaign site and own pages say

  • [Undated live site, read 2026-09-28] His campaign site, No MOE Corruption, carries posts on the courts, judges, public officials he wants suspended, homeowners' associations, child welfare, housing, COVID vaccines, food assistance, the 2026 Republican debate and his own federal lawsuit, and pages on his biography, his show and his campaign. A search of every post and page for israel, gaza, palestin, antisemit, jewish, aipac, zion, genocide and hamas returns nothing.
  • [Position, 2024-10-13] His Ballotpedia survey answers, submitted October 12 and 13, 2024, give his three messages as ending public corruption, protecting children, and a third on ballot initiatives. None concerns foreign policy. The page also carries 2023 answers from a race for Orlando office, about homelessness and public works.
  • [Position, 2026-09-04] A video post on his campaign's Facebook page about Angie Nixon, a candidate for another office, whose caption is about her and about Ashley Moody. It carries the hashtags #AngieNixon #HopeFlorida #AshleyMoody #LauraLoomer and nothing about Palestinians.

The race

  • [Read 2026-09-28] The Division of Elections' record for him lists Moliere "Moe" Dimanche for Governor, No Party Affiliation, running mate Benjiman Rojas, of Orlando, filed on June 26, 2024 and qualified on June 10, 2026 by paying the qualifying fee. The Division's full listing for this office shows ten qualified candidates: Byron Donalds (Republican), David Jolly (Democrat), Scott Jewett (Libertarian Party of Florida), Dean Abrams, Charles Burkett, Jeffrey Datto, Moliere Dimanche and Frank Russo, each with no party affiliation, and two write-in candidates, Kathy Anderson and Erik Morris.
  • [Read 2026-09-28] His Ballotpedia page lists him on the general election ballot and links his campaign website and his campaign's accounts on Facebook (facebook.com/MoeDimanche), X, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
  • [Read 2026-09-28] Politics1 describes him as "Artist, Justice Reform Activist & Felon" and links his campaign site. Sparker's Soapbox's guide lists him among the minor candidates and records no campaign website found for him as of September 7, 2026; the site above was live when read. iVoterGuide's page for the race lists him by name and party only.

Places that could not be read, so nothing is claimed from them

  • The rest of his campaign's Facebook page beyond the three posts above, and his accounts on X (https://x.com/moedimanche), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/MoeDimanche), YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@MoeWarRoom) and TikTok (https://www.tiktok.com/@moedimanche), which need a signed-in reader or were not read. The spoken content of the three Facebook videos was not heard; only their captions are quoted.

Not on the card, and why

  • The line about Florida's last pro-Israel governor and a license plate: his words about a state matter, quoted in the deep dive and above, not a position on what the United States sends.
  • The November 2025 line about "military aid to the tune of 21+ billion dollars": it names no recipient, so it is not read as being about the government of Israel.
  • Court papers in his federal lawsuit that our research said name a local Jewish newspaper among many defendants over a legal notice: not opened, and not about this subject.
  • The rest of the September 20 caption about Ed Sheeran, Robert Kraft and Macklemore: not about this subject.
  • Byron Donalds's, David Jolly's and the other candidates' records: they belong on their own cards.
