David Jolly

Jolly's only documented record on U.S. weapons and money for the Israeli government is from his single term in the U.S. House, which he served as a REPUBLICAN representing Florida's 13th District from March 2014 to January 2017; he left the Republican Party in 2018 and registered as a Democrat in April 2025. In that term he backed sending more, not less. On August 1, 2014, during the Gaza war, he voted Yea on H.J.Res.76, the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Resolution, 2014, which appropriated $225,000,000 for the Secretary of Defense to give the Government of Israel for Iron Dome procurement; the House concurred in the Senate amendment 395-8 and the measure became Public Law 113-145. On July 23, 2015 he cosponsored H.R.825, the United States-Israel Trade and Commercial Enhancement Act, whose stated objectives included discouraging 'politically motivated actions to boycott, divest from, or sanction Israel' - his only recorded action touching the boycott, divestment and sanctions question. His most explicit statement came on March 29, 2016, when, after meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu privately in Jerusalem and while running in the Republican U.S. Senate primary, he called for raising U.S. annual military assistance to Israel from $3.1 billion to $5 billion, saying he 'fully agree[d]' with reports of that need and closing that 'we only defeat terrorists with renewed strength – and weapons, lots of weapons.' That June he cosponsored H.Res.729, supporting a new long-term memorandum of understanding on military assistance to Israel, and on September 13, 2016 he voted Yea when it passed 405-4. Nothing more recent was found: this research located no statement by Jolly on U.S. weapons or money to the Israeli government at any point after he left Congress in January 2017, and his 2026 campaign issues page, which lists fourteen priorities, contains no foreign policy, Israel, boycott-and-divestment or state-investment content.
